But besides that was a Frenchman named Edouard Leon Scott de Martinville has created a tool called Phonautogram 17 years before Edison! This tool was created in 1860 and used to investigate the sound, that is, by saving on a paper, but Scott never knew that this tool can also save the sound. But in 2008 some people from the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in the United States managed to change the “scratches” on paper into sounds.

Meanwhile, several people from the same university was reinforced in France to find some old stuff to play, like the cylinder phonograph.
